Got G1?

It looks like the IPhone has some competition. The new G1 offered by T-Mobile is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2008. And for the anxious T-Mobile customer who pre-orders their phone online; the G1 will be received at your doorstep by 10/22- I fall into this category.

I'm currently a SidekickIII user, and prior to that I was a SidekickII FANATIC! I also have the Blackberry 8800, which I still have an affection for. But these days I'm over the Sidekick, and was looking to upgrade to a new type of phone, and what do you know? I happen to stumble on(line) the G1. http://www.tmobile.com/

I was sold- keep in mind I'm an easy sell- with the full keyboard and the touch screen- it truly is an upgraded sidekick but much better, complete with enhanced Google browsing, and loads of other stuff that I will probably never learn how to use, but it's about having the option right? Right! I was a bit bummed out when I found out the phone wasn't available in white, so I settled for brown, hopefully they wil make some pink faceplates or something :/ I'll keep you posted on the functionality of the G1.
